Cleveland Indians lefty David Huff was hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez and the ball ricocheted all the way to the right field corner.
The hit caused both teams and a full stadium worth of fans to hush as Huff was dealt with. He was loaded on to a stretcher and taken off the field. He gave the fans a thumbs up as he was carted off to a loud ovation. Huff was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center where he is woozy, but in otherwise good shape . A CT Scan was negative.
After the game A-Rod raced over to the hospital to make sure that the pitcher was OK.
