Just when you thought Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout couldn’t possibly do anything else to make your jaw drop, he does something like this—and totally outdoes himself.
In the top of the fourth inning of Saturday’s game, Seattle Mariners first baseman Jesus Montero hit a drive that looked destined for the trees behind the center field wall.
However, Superman Trout patrols center field for the Angels.
The four-time All-Star scaled the Angel Stadium of Anaheim wall and somehow brought the ball back into the field of play. Not only did he make the catch, but he also alertly got the ball back to the infield to keep the runners from advancing.
It was a catch that will leave you wondering, “How on Earth does Trout not have a Gold Glove to his name?”
The 24-year-old Trout has made some unbelievable catches already in his young career, but nothing comes close to this grab. This was a catch for the ages.
