Superstar third baseman David Wright has reportedly re-signed with the New York Mets as first reported by WFAN’s Ed Coleman.

The deal’s figures make Wright the highest paid Met in the club’s history. At $138 million over eight years, the deal just barely tops that of Johan Santana, who signed for $137.5 million in 2008.
