Mets’ Lucas Duda Hits Home Run That’s Grabbed by Sailor on Memorial Day

Well, this is fitting.

With the New York Mets trailing the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1 on Monday, Lucas Duda’s solo shot ended up in the most appropriate hands possible on Memorial Day: those of someone who has served in the military.

The homer tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning.

Rodriguez later connected for his fourth bomb in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game:

Brewers Announce ‘Inside the Park Nachos’ with Doritos Crusting on a Stick

We’ve all been there beforeyou want to enjoy your nachos at a ballpark, but all the shouting, cheering and general calamity happening around your seat prevents you from being able to eat them comfortably. Luckily, the Milwaukee Brewers have thought of a solution.

The Brewers’ “Inside the Park Nachos” allow you to enjoy taco meat with a crusting of Doritos, all on a stick for portability. It will be topped with cheese sauce and sour cream and served with a side of salsa, because, you know…America.

It likely pales in comparison to the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Churro Dog calorie-wise, but this is more of a savory dinner entree as opposed to a dessert. You’ll have to find another MLB ballpark treat to cap it off with to get the full experience.

Tommy Lasorda Sings ‘Turn Down for What’ with No Context, Is Delightful

Former MLB coach and player Tommy Lasorda released a video on his Instagram with no context given of him singing DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What,” and it’s possibly the most wonderful rendition we’ve ever heard.

Although his appreciation for Lil Jon was unbeknownst to probably everyone who has ever known him, Lasorda’s high pitch and smile is a unique interpretation. We hope there’s much more to come here.

Nationals Fan Decides to ‘Do Something Dumb,’ Gets World Series Champs Tattoo

The 2015 MLB season hasn’t officially kicked off yet, but one fan is confident that his tattoo will be valid in October of 2015 and beyond.

According to The Washington Post‘s Scott Allen, 29-year-old Pete Johnson, a lawyer in the D.C. area, opened the door to a local tattoo parlor and said, “Why don’t we do something dumb?” before getting a Washington Nationals World Series Champs 2015 tattoo in his own handwriting on top of his foot.

This certainly isn’t the first pre-emptive champions tattoo we’ve seen fans get, and it likely won’t be the last. And even though Johnson was admittedly doing “something dumb,” at least it’s just on his foot.

Kansas City Fan Couple Will Have a Baby If the Royals Win the World Series

The Kansas City Royals’ appearance in the 2014 World Series has fans who aren’t used to this kind of success in the postseason ecstatic.

One fan got an adorable Corgi dog after the team’s wild-card win. Now, since Kansas City is in the World Series, the stakes have been raised by this couple, which claims it’ll have a baby if the Royals take it.

We have a feeling that this lady is going to have a child regardless, but this is definitely a way to add some fun to the Fall Classic.

Cubs Fan Makes Impressive Catch in Last Row of Wrigley Field Bleachers

A crafty Chicago Cubs fan not only managed a dangerously impressive grab in the last row of the bleachers at Wrigley Field, but he apparently pulled a switcheroo when he threw it back.

Mark Reynolds of the Milwaukee Brewers hit a home run in the top of the second that nearly carried out of Wrigley Field before a Cubbies fan with a glove reached up for the snow-cone catch. According to one man on Twitter, he also swapped his ball out before throwing it back. This guy is full of tricks.

Colorado Rockies Misspell Another Player’s Name, This Time on Collector’s Cups

The Colorado Rockies made headlines when they gave away T-shirts to their fans with Troy Tulowitzki’s name misspelled. Apparently, they haven’t learned from their mistake.

Just two weeks later, a Rockies fan pointed out that his collector’s cup features Nolan Arenado’s name misspelled.

Maybe the Rockies should just give up on this whole “giving fans free gifts” thing.
